Suggestions

7:32 a.m.

We could use some suggestions, as we received some awesome news.

If you could choose anywhere in the U.S. to go for a honeymoon, where would you go?

(Let's keep in mind we are sick of snow. By "we" I mean "I." By "sick of snow" I mean I'm ready to attack the sky. Think of places warm and possibly ocean-y. It'll be June.)

Thanks,
black sheep

That DOES sound like some kind of good news!

I wish I had suggestions, but we haven't been anywhere that isn't miserably hot and humid in June--except for northwest Washington, which was so so nice but not really hot/oceany. I mean, it was oceany, but not splash-in-the-waves oceany, more like nice-breeze-off-the-ocean oceany.

Anywhere in the US...I'd definately have to say either the Hawaiian Islands, or Florida. Maui is my favorite place ever - never been to Florida, but I've always wanted to go. Anyplace with crystal clear blue water that you don't need a wetsuit to go in (like you do here in California, brrrrr)

Thanks for the comment by the way! Glad to have found your journal :)

We need to figure out my coming/leaving situation. I vote you two go to California. It was so beautiful when I went. Plus there's all those great songs you can play in the CD player on your way there. Californication. Dani California. And others. Right now all I can think of his Red Hot Chili Pepper lyrics. But you get the picture.

We went on a Western Caribbean cruise, and I recommend it to everyone. Warm, sunny, oceany time of my life! And pretty cheap, too, when you consider you can visit a couple of different countries over the course of a week for $1,500 each, more or less.
